Well, here we are...the last day of June and moving into the hottest months of the year. I'm already hot and miserable and I'm certainly not looking forward to the next two months. I make myself get outside early every morning, work in the yard a little, or take some pictures. Mr. H says I need to stay accustomed to the heat and it will be better, but, so far, that's not working for me! I do my time and hurry into the air-conditioning!
I did stay outside this week long enough to scavenge around for this week prompts! Which are:
tools
motion
sweet
dots
strips
tools
Garden tools...I'm not using them very much, but I have them if I need them!
motion
I made a little motion with my hostas by twisting the camera as I snapped the shutter button.
sweet
Aren't these sweet little mushrooms? They're very tiny, maybe 1/2" tall.
dots
This guy has lots of orange dots on his head and neck.
stripes
What can I say? It's a striped feather.
That's it for this week!
I hope you enjoy your summer days!
Me, I'm staying inside as much as possible!
Love these....great selections this week, Cathy. I especially like those tools with all that great bokeh in the background!!
ReplyDeleteLove the turtle, Cathy! Great finds, hope you're staying cool!!
ReplyDeleteYour issue about the heat so resonates...I need to get rid of some of my portable insulation!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Cathy! You are a valiant woman to brave the heat, even in the early morning. I love those little mushrooms and the turtle - and that striped feather is beautiful! It's definitely my favorite this week.
ReplyDeleteCreative photos! Your garden tools are so clean!
ReplyDeleteLove that tools shot - the sunlight giving you bokeh in the background just makes me feel like it's a perfect day to garden! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove the motion shot, very cool. And how great to capture a tortoise,
ReplyDeleteYour garden tools are so clean :) Love the orange mushrooms and the precious turtle. My husband shut the air conditioning off today, not sure what he was thinking. I see another sleepless night ahead. I need cool/cold to sleep well.
ReplyDeleteevery single one of your photos is stunning! that's a cute gardening bag! those mushrooms are an amazing color. were they in your backyard? we're looking at planting hostas in our front planter. gotta see how much sun {more likely shade} they can tolerate. Have an amazing 4th.
ReplyDeleteI love all your photos! They are exceptionally well done! I'm so glad I decided to drop in?
ReplyDeleteHHH? That's tough. You and I need to switch houses. I'll take your heat, you can take my long winters. Not so sure what Mr H would say about that though. : )
ReplyDeleteI love that first tools shot-woo-wee on the bokeh. And I think those mushrooms are chanterells. My mom picks them here in Maine and eats them. I wouldn't dare incase they were the wrong kind.
Happy day my friend.
Wonderful crazy bokeh in that top photo, really cool Cathy, Love the spin in the second. All are great for the challenges.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tool shot. Great thinking on Motion.

ReplyDeleteWonderful set. I hear you on the heat. I rarely get out in the heat to work in my garden too. Fun motion shot. I must try that sometime.
ReplyDeleteThose Mushrooms are so tiny and sweetly adorable.
Cute Turtle and that Striped feather is perfect for the prompt.

And I am here in Wisconsin wearing a sweatshirt! I love the summer heat, this feels like fall to me! is that big turtle a pet...what a great shot!
ReplyDeleteI love your gardening tools all lined up looking so clean! I too dislike the heat, especially when it's high humidity. Unlike you, I have no air-conditioning to run back into!
ReplyDeleteThose tiny mushrooms are really sweet and such a lovely colour too!
Love your scavenger hunt x

I completely understand your dislike of summer heat and humidity - yes, I prefer the indoor air-conditioned environment as well. Great set! Love those tiny orange mushrooms and the bokeh in your tool shot.
ReplyDeleteKudos for you for braving the heat, Cathy. I love those clean, unused garden tools -- so pretty! And how clever to add motion to your image for the prompt. Stay cool!
