I've enjoyed the prompts the last few weeks.
They've been challenging,
but that's exactly what I've been needing!
The prompts for this week were:
fun
arts and crafts
messy
blessing
effort
fun
I have a really hard time sitting still. My hands need to be busy, so when I go on a trip with Mr. H, I have fun shooting out the car window.
arts and crafts
The art and craft of growing bonsai trees fascinates me.
messy
I love mimosa trees they bring back childhood memories, but they can also be very messy when all those pretty pink blooms fall to the ground. At least that's what my Mom always said as she was raking them up!
blessing
The unexpected rain was a double blessing yesterday. It gave the lawn a much needed watering, but when the sun popped out it sparkled.
effort
It must be quite an effort for these mushrooms to push through the hard, rocky soil.
I hope you make an effort to enjoy your week.
Do some arts and crafts.
Have fun, get a little messy.
One more thing, don't forget to count your blessings.
I love how parky everything after it rains too! I love the shot of your mushrooms. I don't think I have ever seen any growing that we're that big!
ReplyDeleteFabulous take on the prompts. That barn shot is lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh Bonsai trees are indeed an art form.
Messy - Well the blossoms are pretty so maybe that makes up for the mess they leave behind.
Blessing is so pretty, I love the sparkle.
Effort - This one turned out great.
I always enjoy your take on the prompts. Enjoy the rain but send some my way!
ReplyDeleteCathy, your photos are beautiful and perfect for each prompt, but I LOVE your closing paragraph. Very clever and fun - it's always a blessing to come over here and see what you've shared.
ReplyDeleteI love that mimosa tree bloom. I'm not familiar with this huge pink powder-puff type ball! I've only encountered the tiny yellow balls which grow in warmer European countries, like in the South of France.
ReplyDeleteGreat job incorporating all the prompts into your last few sentences! lol and I love the mimosa tree. Just last night I told my hubby I wished we had one. I, too, remember them from my childhood. I always thought the flowers on them were beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt has been a while that I visited you, but I'm catching up. Fabulous shots to accompany the promts, and I will certainly make an effort to enjoy my week, even when it rains all week.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I am not one for sitting still much either. I love everything looks so saturated with color after a good rain.
ReplyDeleteGreat set, always love your interpretations! Love the pretty bokeh in your after rain shot. Have a lovely week. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful set - you seem to do well with the challenging prompts. Love the way you captured the mimosa bloom - just peeking through the fern-like green leaves. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteall beautiful shots cathy! i had to smile a little when you mentioned that mimosa trees reminded you of childhood...they do for me too. we had one in hte front yard and i used to pick the flowers and pretend like they were blush brushes. :)
ReplyDeleteYour blessing shot is so lovely . . . delightfully magical!
ReplyDeleteI loved your shots. So glad you got to go with Mr. H. This is one post that I would also have enjoyed doing. Love you inserting the words to make a paragraph. The mimosa tree. What a wonderful shot.
