Scavenger Hunt Sunday seems to be getting more difficult for me. I think it's because I love to take photos outside, especially of nature, but it's been so rainy and windy that good shots are next to impossible! I can't remember a day when we haven't had wind this entire winter. Don't get me wrong I love for the wind to blow, but it sure makes outside photography difficult. So, here I am inside trying to come up with ideas for the prompts this week which were:
Asian
wavy
draw
soft
texture
Asian
A small Asian figurine given to me by my aunt in the late 50's.
Wavy
My necklace on a wavy background. Wavy totally stumped me this week. Next week I'll probably see wavy everywhere!
Draw
If I want to draw, all I need is a pencil and a piece of paper.
Soft
Soft baby booties that were made for my daughter when she was born.
Texture
We had one pretty day this week where I took off with my camera on a photo walk around a nearby small town. The effects of weather, including the wind, definitely added texture to this old building.
I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
Lovely photos and a creative finds for this week's hunt. The baby booties are so cute and I love your necklace, too :)
ReplyDeleteHave fantastic week ahead!
Scudds
i think you did really well Cathy, all are lovely for the prompts.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a brilliant job with these, I especially like the composition of the pencil to paper shot.
ReplyDeleteI especially love your texture photo. I'm very fond of weathered wood.
ReplyDeleteGreat hunt, I love the Asian doll, but my favorite is your Pencil shot... it's stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe pencil picture is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove your take on draw....great image, and that texture shot is a great find. I like how you filled the frame there. Happy day Cathy.
ReplyDeleteIt may have been difficult, but you've come up with some great photos for those prompts.
ReplyDeleteYour photos certainly don't show your struggle this week! Great set! Love the pencil and that old building!
ReplyDeleteWow, your "draw" is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteCathy, this is a great set! I love your camera and film necklace - and that comb-painted background (at least that's what it looks like to me) is pretty cool, too. The old barn is wonderful, and so is your pencil image. That one is so simple...but beautifully lit and composed.
ReplyDeleteWell done!
ReplyDeleteThat little Asian doll is so charming.
Your pencil shot is fabulous and the Textured building is wonderful.
Oh and those Soft booties, so sweet.
Beautiful job! I really love the "draw" pic. It's so crisp and clear.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think you did an amazing job with your "inside" limitations. (And I hate trying to take a photo walk when its windy.) Love the perspectives on all your macros - each one features the item in a unique and creative way. And then, of course, there are those lovely old textures.
ReplyDeleteYour draw shot is great.
ReplyDeleteAnd I want a necklace like that! :)
Wonderful interpretations of the prompts!
ReplyDeleteI love the little doll - perfect choice!
The simplicity of the pencil and paper is perfect as well.
Old barns are a favorite of mine and your framing on this one to show texture is lovely!
Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!
Oh yes, I agree with you about the hunt getting harder and your comment about wavy is exactly what I was thinking too. I love your pencil shot - it gets right to the point. Texture is great too. You can use that one again next week for weathered.
ReplyDeleteThat wind is howling here, too, and the wind chill is bitter cold right now. I wanted to get out and take some photos today, but like you said, the weather just makes it hard to do that.
ReplyDeleteI like all these images. Your photography just keeps getting better and better.
I also agree with you about the hunt seeming harder the past couple of weeks! i too prefer to take pictures outside, but we have had wet and windy weather as well. Plus it actually snowed here yesterday- yuck!
ReplyDeleteI love your draw and texture pictures this week. They are wonderful!
Such a wonderful set. I was smiling at every shot.
ReplyDeleteI always think your inside shots are pretty amazing! Love the texture on the old building.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with this set of prompts. I especially like your camera necklace and the texture shot is amazing...
ReplyDeleteOH GOOD GRIEF! I love the texture shot at the end so much. I had trouble this weeks prompts for some reason, I think I just wasn't in the mood, but no doubt I'll see things all the week that would work and I'll have to keep reminding myself of the new prompts :)
ReplyDeletegreat shots for your prompts especially considering that you weren't able to get out for most of them. really great focus and compositions!
ReplyDeleteWow, you hit the jackpot this week. I love all of your images, can't even pick a fav!!
