Super Moon

I hope you got out to catch a glimpse of the "super moon" last night! My grandson's called to remind me to "check out the big moon!"  This is one of those times I wish I had a very big zoom lens for my camera!

Here's a couple of images I took last night for Gramma's Guys, Jake, Drew, Josh, and Aaron! I really don't know why they are different colors. I'm assuming it was just how the camera captured the light, since they were taken a little over a minute apart.

Is the moon tired? she looks so pale
Within her misty veil:
She scales the sky from east to west,
And takes no rest.
Before the coming of the night
The moon shows papery white;
Before the dawning of the day
She fades away.
From Sing-Song by Christina Rossetti

  1. I enjoyed photographing the moon yesterday evening, too, and thanks to the helpful advice from one of my photo club friends, I was able to finally get a good image. But aside from that..it was just amazing watching the sun go down and then seeing the moon rise. How often do we really take time to do this kind of thing? Your moon shots are just great.

  3. I didn't get a call so I am glad you got some photos for us to see. That is so strange with the changing light.

  6. Isn't that interesting - the color change from one minute to the next? Gives each image a unique feeling.
