Wonderful Christmas Time, Ornaments - Day 27, Treasures On Thursday

Christmas is nearly over at our house. Our family has been together for the past five days and have we had the most wonderful time!! We opened our presents on Saturday. Of course, this was the highlight of the celebration for our grandsons. We had time this year to add lots of extras. Our first activity was to go to a local library that had a working model train display. The boys really loved this. The twins love trains, all trains!! There were small working areas where they could push buttons and load train cars with barrels or wood. Lots of fun for them.

As we left the library we dropped by the Union Pacific Railroad shop. This train really impressed the boys!! This is one of the largest electric engines built.

Later that evening, we took a trip to Garvin Gardens, a magical winter wonderland with over 1.8 million lights. The weather was perfect, in the 50's. The boys were amazed!!

Our little one who is 19 months old walked the whole way!

All the grandsons peeking out of a gingerbread house.
The main attraction to the boys...THE TRAIN!!  They could actually walk through the train and ring the bell!!

Look at the excitement on their faces!!

It is the most beautiful display of lights I have ever seen!! We had the most wonderful time!!

TODAY'S ORNAMENT
A beautiful Jim Shore's snowman. I love the little birdhouse and the quilt patterns on his jacket. This is a sneek preview of tomorrows ornaments... snowmen from my snowman tree,

TREASURES ON THURSDAY
Snowmen are my favorite decorations for Christmas. Here's a few from my collection.
There are cloth ones, wooden ones and even a beany baby!

I know this is a long post and tomorrow's will be, too. But, I have so much to share. We are making the most wonderful memories!!
