Happy April to everyone!
Spring bulbs, bushes, and flowering trees have bloomed and faded.
The weeds are very prevalent.
Grass is beginning to grow.
Leaves are sprouting on those bare branches we've looked at all winter!
The sun is shining and it's nice and warm.
I hope April is bringing you some pretty weather.
Now on to Scavenger Hunt Sunday with Ashley Sisk at Ramblings and Photos. This is a milestone for me. I found SHS about a year ago and started posting. This is my 50th post! SHS keeps my camera in my hand, keeps me from getting stale and makes me step out of my comfort zone. Best of all, seeing what other's post has been a constant, wonderful source of inspiration.
This week's prompts were:
outside
chatterbox
comfort
in the kitchen
trees
outside
As I mention the weeds are prevalent. If I had to pick a favorite weed, this would be it, the dandelion. I can't quit taking pictures of them!
chatterbox
I think I should change this prompt to quackerbox! I was stumped on this prompt. I kept trying to take pictures of the black birds that are chattering right now, but no success there. I finally just went to my archives for this little guy. The day I saw him, he never stopped quacking!
comfort
The best source of comfort is my Bible.
I love the words that are in focus
learning...comfort...hope...patience.
learning...comfort...hope...patience.
in the kitchen
A happy little discovery in the kitchen sink. This is my strainer for the drain that is sitting in a small puddle of water; water that just happened to form a heart. I love to find hearts!
tree
Sometimes you can't see the trees for the weeds!
Have a good week!
Cathy these are all such gorgeous shots. I love the clarity and sharpness you're getting. Congrats on 50 posts!! That's definitely a mark to reach.
ReplyDeleteI don't know as I can choose a fave-legit, I like them all. I guess the light in that last shot appeals the most.
PS-like that new "springy" header.
Your shots are so great and super creative! Well done!
ReplyDeleteoh goodness these are simply perfect! xxx
ReplyDeleteComfort from the Bible - how much this is needed in our noisy world.
ReplyDeleteWonderful intrepretations!
ReplyDeleteLove the dandelion and the heart.
I love the composition of your comfort shot, as well as the meaning behind the shot. I also think your in the kitchen shot is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWow 50 SHS posts. I'll have to count mine up and see how close I am to that milestone.
ReplyDeleteYou take awesome shots. So loved the Dandelion one (we have plenty in our yard right now).
Comfort was great and that water heart in your kitchen sink was a cool find.
Enjoyed your set very much.
All fun images at your place today, Cathy! I love the quackerbox showing us his beautiful green head and well arranged feathers. That dandelion 'clock' shining in the sun is just lovely too. It sounds as if spring has come and almost gone in your parts and that you might be stepping into an early summer! Our spring has started late and we are still at the primroses and violets stage which I adore. The forsythia bushes will also soon be flowering. Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteLove them all. I am feeling a little stale in my photography, maybe I need to give this Scavenger Hunt a try. We will see how the week goes :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful and creative set! Congrats on your 50th SHS post. Quite an accomplishment. I can understand why you can't quit photographing dandelions - such beauty in those little fluffs of seed. And love your latest heart find - who would have thought to look there? Beautiful. Your heart series has so many interesting finds.
