Scavenger Hunt Sunday ~ July 28

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I waited till the last of the week to go looking for images for Scavenger Hunt Sunday!  Do I dare say it again???  It's just been too hot!  It was 100 degrees by 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning and it will be in the triple digits all this week!  Add to that tons of humidty...nuff said!!!  Thankfully, we had a little cool spell on Friday that enticed  me outside with my camera.

Our prompts were:
  • paint
  • green
  • eyelashes
  • shapes
  • clouds

Paint
The paint is peeling on this tool box and the rust has begun!

Green
Green muscadine berries that will never ripen because the birds eat them!

Eyelashes
Sweet eyelashes that belong to my grandson, Josh. This photo is from last week. My husband and I neither one wanted a picture of our eyelashes!!

Shapes
I'm stretching this a little!!  Unusual shapes...curved butterfly's tongue, circle eye, and curls on the flowers.

Clouds
We've had a not summer, but the skies have been gorgeous; filled with clouds almost every day that make for some beautiful sunsets but bring no rain!

Have a fun week!!!
Stay cool!!!

  1. Hope you get a break from the hot soon. Can you imagine life before a/c?
Those lashes are wonderful. Kids have the prettiest eyes-sort of like the innocent look on the world.
I think a butterfly is a super creative shape. No apologies necessary.

  5. Sorry to hear that it's been so hot there. It's warm here but not overly hot (well 90 is pretty warm).
Wonderful set. I really liked your Paint shot, Eyelashes and Green. Have never heard of those berries before.

  6. That heat sounds dreadful and I think that butterfly shot is wonderful and a great choice for shapes.

  8. Your pictures seem so real they make me want to reach into my computer screen and touch them. I could sense the fuzziness on the green pic fruit and the fine hairs on the butterfly's legs. I swear I could have made the child blink by blowing on those long lashes. How do you take such magnificent pictures?
