Scavenger Hunt Sunday ~ March 10, 2013

Another week has quickly gone by!
Time for another Scavenger Hunt Sunday with Ashley Sisk.
It looks like today's post is brought to you be the color "brown."
It wasn't intentional, it just turned out that way!
Our prompts this week were:
word of the day
stamped on the end of a pole

Word Of The Day
I'm always ready to go an adventure.
Pretty birds sharing a meal.

These guys/gals wiggle their tail feathers when they walk.

Here in Arkansas the "browns" of winter are beginning to be brightened by spring colors. The warm sun we've had the last two two days has really made a difference. My flowering plum trees, Japonica, forsythias, and daffodils are all blooming. Even the lawn is starting to green up, although it's probably more weeds than grass showing!
It was one of those March days
when the sun shines hot
and the wind blows cold:
when it is summer in the light,
and winter in the shade.
~Charles Dickens

  1. Brown is good - at least it isn't gray. Good to see those hints of spring green in your images as well. I love your quote - what a perfect description of the dichotomy that is the month of March.

  2. I really like your #5! Who'd have thought a number stamped on a pole could photograph so beautifully! I love the warm brown and the texture.

  3. Wonderful set. I like your Word of the Day shot, Life is and Adventure isn't it.

  4. we're enjoying our green hillsides BEFORE the sunshine comes and fries the green away. That 5 is very cool.

  5. Wonderful set! I love your photo for word of the day, very cool! Have a great week.

  6. Nice pictures and great job with such hard words!

  7. Wonderful hunt, the first two images are just breath-taking.

  8. Love that word of the day shot. An adventure is always good :)

  9. I like your blog so much you are an artist with words and photos, I love the doves...from this post.

  10. love the theme that pulls these shots all together! great job!
