Warm And Comforting...

"It is the color closest to light. In its utmost purity it always implies
the nature of brightness and has a cheerful, serene, gently
stimulating character. Hence, experience teaches us that yellow makes
a thoroughly warm and comforting impression."

  1. What unusual orange flowers which I don't recognize. The vase and the embroidery are most elegant! An interesting quotation by Goethe who is noticing the effect of the light on colour.

  2. Beautiful montage and tribute to color, Cathy! I would call that a yellow-orange, which I love.

  5. So pretty and I love the mosaic you've created. The flower in the top right corner looks as though it's glowing - such an amazing colour - and I love how the embroidery echoes it.

  8. Great staging. I really haven't thought much about the color yellow. But through your shots I think I will take another look at yellow. Golden is good.

  11. Orange is not a favorite for me for apparel or decorations, but a splash of that happy color, especially in flowers, can turn any day a little brighter. Thanks for sharing.
