When I think of new beginnings,
When I think of fresh,
When I think of fresh air,
When I think of walking in the woods,
When I think of capturing nature with my camera,
When I think of details, shapes and colors,
When I think of fresh, new things my eyes will see
I think of how grateful I am for this new year we're beginning.
New Beginnings...the idea for this post came from a wonderful daily blog Focusing On Life. No only do they have inspiring daily posts, they have a Flickr group with monthly themes (this month's theme is New Beginnings) and they have just started at Focus On A Photo A Day which is a 365 project. It's a great place to go for encouragement and beautiful photography.
Your photos are beautiful! I like the theme of your post!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images & i agree, it's great to have a fresh start!
ReplyDeleteI like the start of your little journey with those meandering lines on the first image and the details of the fourth image. What wonderful shapes and textures. Such lovely freshness in your images, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteAll so lovely, love the trails in the dirt so much.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I love more, your words or your photos. So I decided to love them both, so well written en captured.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and yes love FOL.
ReplyDeleteOh Cathy, I love this post....reminds me a little bit of the book, "When you give a mouse a cookie" :)
ReplyDeletePerfect words to go with your beautiful photos, and so happy that you find encouragement through Focusing on Life. Thank you for all your support, xo
love how one set of words leads to the next set of words. kinda like the story of "the house that jack built". : )

ReplyDeleteOh, Kathy, what wonderful photos and I love the way you tied them together with one sentence leading into another. So clever! Your mention of FOL is so appreciated and we love having you as a regular follower. I thought of you as I signed up for a 50mm photo workshop yesterday and remembered when you won our giveaway and bought one of those for yourself. My, you have done some amazing things with it!

ReplyDeleteAnd, as your post so artfully illustrates, one thing usually does lead to something else. Start at the beginning and then, one step at a time, make your way to the end.
ReplyDeleteI liked how you "mind-mapped" this post - going from one word association to the next - showing us all those things that make your photography what it is. You always capture nature in such a unique way.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great selection of photo's. I really enjoyed your post.
ReplyDeleteSo happy I stumbled upon your blog! Visited FocusingOnLife, thinking about joining you there.
