I love dandelions, little faces full of sunshine! When I lived in Ohio, this time of year my lawn would be sprinkled with violets and dandelions, to my delight and my next-door neighbor's horror. He couldn't understand why I let those "weeds" contaminate the lawn, but I thought the combination was beautiful. They just sang of spring to me.
The humble dandelion has offered us its sunny face! The early morning birdsong is a joy to hear - even if it wakes us up earlier and earlier! Such an appreciated time of the year, especially after a real winter! I actually love real winters with cold and snow so that Spring seems even more beautiful!
Oh, my! This looks like you have skipped right to summer! Such deep summertime yellow and greens! (I am in Illinois right now visiting our grandson and we have a couple of inches of snow on the ground - so you can understand why I would enjoy your image that appears to be full of heat!)

ReplyDeleteI cannot believe I am actually looking forward to seeing dandelions. ;))
ReplyDeleteWas my Mom's favourite flower. She always said it reminded her of when we were little and picked her "bouquets." Lovely to see today, Cathy.
ReplyDeleteSpring is popping up. Hope you're feeling full of sunshine!

ReplyDeleteIt was here but it left again, although thankfully most of the snow is gone.
