From My House To Yours

I'm back for a short visit and to post a few more images from Christmas at my house.

Christmas cards are arriving and, of course, a few sweets are being eaten.
The decorating is finished with lots of Christmas trees and snowmen.

I love the shine and shimmer of vintage ornaments scattered around.
So many of my ornaments have special meanings, like this one. My daughter and her family have a tradition of bringing us Christmas ornaments when they travel.

I finally have all the presents wrapped and under the tree.

It's been a rough December with my dad's surgery and rehabilitation, but we're getting through this and looking forward to the new year. We've been grabbing every little bit of joy and light we can. Speaking of lights, this string of lights was in a tree skirt that I made for our first Christmas tree way back in the 70's. I can't believe they still work!!
I hope your Christmas is filled with joy and peace.

  1. Wonderful Christmas images, Cathy! I especially love the cookies in the glass jar with a Christmas bauble and all the colourful lights in the back. That Christmas card next to it is lovely too. Such a pretty crocheted wrapping on the parcel. Did you make it yourself? Such an attractive idea and one to treasure afterwards!
May your dad's health continue to improve. Have a wonderful Christmas! Sandra

  2. Lovely images! Wishing you and your family a wonderful and warm Christmas.

  3. Merry Christmas! Many blessings in the new year!!

  4. ahh Merry Christmas Cathy, so glad you put up a post. And so glad your Dad is recovering. Love the Christmas skirt light and the story behind it. Happy Holidays.

  5. So sorry about your dad - I just read your last post too. Happy Christmas to you and your family and I hope your dad continues to improve. Here's to a better 2014. :)
ps love your images here, so pretty and I love your wrapping style.

  6. Just beautiful - the way you have captured your individual holiday traditions and memories. I'm glad your dad is in rehab, working on coming back from this setback. You and your family are in my thoughts. Happiest of holidays!

  7. Merry Christmas! Have so enjoyed your blog this year and look forward to visiting often in the coming year. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas. Love that you still have "vintage" lights and that train ornament is really cool.

  8. Beautiful shots, Cathy. Those tree lights from the skirt are amazing. Thinking of you and praying for you and your family. Take good care, my friend.

  9. A collage of photos, a collage of memories...

I know 2013 has been a difficult year for you but, despite that, I hope the beautiful memories outnumber the sad ones.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
