This looked like a great place to visit. It's really to bad that people have to vandalize things like that and spoil things for others. - I'm glad you had a sense of reverance to for the Battle Field area. So many forget about what others gave up for their freedom.Idahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14587867197850064349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33364332268534843.post-17572631127386445412015-10-25T08:31:39.331-05:002015-10-25T08:31:39.331-05:00That is so sad that vandals have made it unenjoyab...That is so sad that vandals have made it unenjoyable for others. Such a way of the times. Mallory, being a history major and a visual person, said history gets interesting when you can actually see a place, and learn that way, instead of just facts and figures in a book. Granted we can't go to every place we would love to visit, but thankfully there are movies and documentaries now days to help us visual people.Sarah Huizengahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07326211901751159368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33364332268534843.post-35882566082578239072015-10-24T15:11:43.203-05:002015-10-24T15:11:43.203-05:00I love the interiior of the cabin and the beautifu...I love the interiior of the cabin and the beautiful garden full of produce. So nice to hear the story behind your photos. Boring! THIS is the kind of history I love. Seeing where and how people lived, being able to touch things they touched, gives me a sense of real connection to the past. I'm so glad you were able to get inside that cabin - the details are wonderful: the old glasses, the washstand. I love the casually unmade bed. The gardening season is definitely over here in Maine. We had our first hard freeze last week.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33364332268534843.post-58206467819696729262015-10-24T08:30:12.230-05:002015-10-24T08:30:12.230-05:00Such an array of lovely here, autumn at it's b...Such an array of lovely here, autumn at it's best. Love the old buildings all decorated for fall. And that top image looking through the trees is a wonderful perspective. That is a wonderful garden. It's too bad that these sites are vandalized - what are people thinking (or not thinking)?
