Surprise Visitor

I rarely take my computer outside. It is so hard to see the screen, but I just needed to be outside and I had a scrapbooking video I wanted to watch, so out I went. Look who paid me a visit. Perched right there on the corner of my screen. Thankfully I had my point and shoot camera right beside me. There was no time for adjusting settings. I clicked away and was lucky to get any good shots!

Aren't they fascinating creatures.
I mean, what a face!

And, what gorgeous details.

Some days I feel extra blessed!

How many are your works, LORD!
In wisdom you made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
--Psalms 104:24

  2. Gosh Cathy, that dragonfly looks almost scary so close up! The shimmering wings are wonderful though! Point and shoot cameras are so useful to have nearby and they do a good job of things too! What a visitor on your outside computer screen!

  3. I think I would have thought I had gone to heaven, you know I haven't not photographed one of these yet, it is on my bucket list. Not many here or at least that I can fine and I am sure not as pretty as the one that landed on your computer. How wonderful Cathy. I think I would have dropped the camera, with excitement.

  11. Cathy, I almost missed this one. I love dragonflies! We seldom see them around here because it's so dry, but occasionally one does pass by and I always get very excited. I had a wonderful personal visit from one a few years ago - he landed on my knee! After a few moments, he flew up, circled round, and landed there again. Luckily I had my camera with me, too, and was able to capture him. The funny thing was what I was wearing at the time: pajama pants with a dragonfly print.
